Lessons

Private Lessons
The Adalia Vocal Academy offers both private and group lessons. The main vehicle of learning is
private one-on-one lessons. Lessons are held in a friendly, nurturing environment, where the
individual voice and style of each singer is nurtured to reach their greatest potential. The aim of private
lessons is to foster creative and professional development as well as individuality in all fields of vocal music and performance.
Student singers are taught: Breathing, posture, ear training, singing styles and techniques such as vocal trills and vibratos, music theory, song interpretation and contemporary music styles, songwriting and arranging, stage performance, microphone techniques and much much more.
As students move on they are encouraged to explore their creative talents through stage performance, songwriting and arranging. All voice students have numerous opportunities to sing on stage, in the classroom and in local venues.

Group Lessons
Group lessons are available for anyone wishing to improve their performance skills. Group lessons give singers the opportunity to meet other singers
and workshop their songs. Lessons are run once a month and are
generally held in the evening or weekends. Group lessons are used in
conjunction to private lessons as they provide singers with a supportive audience and some friendly feedback. This also adds singing experience
and helps heighten a singer’s confidence. Group lessons help many singers combat nerves and stage fright, by exposing them to performing for a small audience in front of peers and fellow singers.
